The Conversation Between Yesterday & Tomorrow

About the work

"A pot about the alternative ways of communication between two oppositional parts. The lizards sitting on top of the heads of human, ‘steering’ their minds to make peace via the shaking hands of ‘words’. It questions: ‘if we allow nature to make decisions, will there be a different outcome?’

I had this idea of these two strong faces having a conversation in my mind, so I studied and sketched them, basing the slab-built flask-shape to intimate the relationship between 2D and 3D forms. However, I put two parts on both sides of the pot, to create a ‘symbolic invisible barrier’ between the two parts, as a metaphorical representation of the challenge between nature and humans. The narrative expands when you combine the two sides when you turn the pot in your hands. Among the dynamic of both sides, you are invited to imagine how the figures feel and think if you are one of them."
