Getting Here

The gallery is just a 5-minute walk from Haymarket Metro Station and the main bus terminal for Newcastle City Centre.

We are easily accessible from the kerbside of Jesmond Road West.
Parking

On-street parking is available approximately 1 minute's walk from the gallery.

Parking costs £1 per hour with a maximum stay of 2 hours.
Accessibility

The gallery entrance has four steps, and a wheelchair-accessible ramp is available. Please contact us in advance if you require use of this facility.

Toilets are located on the first and second floor landings, accessed via staircase. Unfortunately, we do not currently have ground floor toilet facilities.

Guide dogs and assistance dogs are very welcome – water bowls are available upon request.

Hancock Gallery is housed in a listed Georgian townhouse in a historically significant area of Newcastle city centre. We welcome all visitors to explore our five-storey gallery space and are committed to supporting access for all.
