Hancock Gallery is a listed Georgian Town House in an historically significant part of Newcastle city centre. We welcome all to enjoy our five-storey gallery and aim to make your visit as enjoyable as possible. Below you’ll find the facilities available to help you plan your visit.

If using public transport, the gallery is a 5 minute walk from Haymarket Metro station and main bus terminal for Newcastle City Centre.

You can access the gallery directly from the curb-side of Jesmond Road West

On street parking is available, at the cost of £1 per hour (2 hour max stay) Approximately 1-minute walk

There are four steps to access the gallery and a wheelchair accessible ramp is available (please contact us in advance to organise this facility)

Toilets are available on first and second floor landings accessed by a staircase. We do not currently have toilet facilities on our ground floor

Guide dogs and assistance dogs are welcomed, with water bowls available

Guided and descriptive tours can also be booked by appointment

Epilepsy and Autism friendly private viewings can be arranged with dimmed lighting and reduced contact viewings to suit personal needs (by appointment)
