A lone runner crests a green hill beneath towering clouds. Small in scale but expansive in feeling, the painting sets one tiny figure against an enormous sky, capturing the quiet effort and freedom of moving through open land. The square format holds the scene tightly, so the climb, the weather and the runner's momentum are all felt at once.
