Somewhere Else by Sam Wood is an oil on canvas painting depicting a girl in a blue jumper sitting in sunlit grass. Facing away looking into the distance the lush palette and her calm nature combine to bring a gentle atmosphere for the viewer to experience. Wood's use of light and warmth accentuates the hair, appearing almost golden.
