Born into a family with a rich artistic heritage, Ed's painting talent was evident from a young age, leading to his A-level work being displayed at The Tate Modern as part of a celebration of young talent. Yet, at 18, the chance to play Premiership Rugby proved too tempting to pass up.
After over a decade in the Premiership, a serious injury benched Ed for a season, rekindling his passion for painting. Self-taught from then on, Ed took a part-time rugby position in France, allowing him to devote more time to refining his artistic skills and knowledge.
Since retiring from rugby in 2017, Ed has thrived as a contemporary artist, developing his own vision of surrealism, fine art and contemporary culture.
Ed's painting style blends his sense of humour with his exceptional talent, resulting in works that are not only beautiful but also thought-provoking and sometimes challenging. His unique style has raised his profile, with his work now exhibited in galleries across the UK and Europe.
