Sam Wood: Evening Walkthrough

Evening Walkthrough is a collection of original oil paintings by Newcastle Artist Sam Wood, shown at Hancock Gallery. Painted in the fading light between day and night, the works follow quiet figures through everyday landscapes: runners, anglers and cyclists, pink blossom above dark lawns, and tower blocks glowing beyond the trees. Faces are often turned away, inviting the viewer to wander through each moment and settle into the calm of an evening outdoors.
