About the work
Constantly inspired by her walks along the Devon Coastal Path, Ann Burnham perfectly captures the shimmering, pearlescent light and wide expanses of sea and sky that characterise this beautiful part of the English coastline. Featuring eight individual layers of colour, this reduction linocut was hand-printed in a limited edition of 10.
From a very early age, all Ann Burnham wanted to do was draw and paint. After training at Harrow School of Art she worked as a graphic designer before becoming a full-time printmaker. She exhibits regularly and her work hangs in private collections across the UK and abroad, as well as on permanent display in several galleries in the south of England. She was also prize-winner in the V&A’s ‘inspired by’ competition.
