Banksy: Soup Cans
Banksy’s Soup Can series stands as one of the most recognisable print images in contemporary street art. Inspired by the visual language of pop art and supermarket branding, the image reflects Banksy’s enduring interest in consumer culture, status and mass-production.
Now showing at Hancock Gallery in Newcastle, this focused presentation brings together key colourways from the series alongside a large-format poster version. Visitors are invited to experience these works in person. This exhibition presents a rare opportunity to view some of Banksy’s most iconic prints, and indeed some of the most iconic British art of the 2000s up close, here in the North East.
