Gianni Notarianni's artwork embodies a reflective engagement with nature, influenced by his past as a monk. His paintings delve into a meditative exploration of the divine, as evidenced by the intricate rhythms and patterns found in the natural realm. Compositions traverse seasons and various times of day, skilfully navigating both the intricate details and vast expanses of the landscape. Through a gradual layering of marks, Notarianni crafts an encounter with the sublime. He holds a BFA from the University of Brighton and an MFA from the Slade School of Art, and currently works from his studio in west London.
