An original lithograph, signed in pencil by the artist, extracted from the book Seeing Voice Welsh Heart, an illustrated series of seven poems by Cyril Hodges. Considered part of the second wave of Abstract Expressionism, Jenkins's work is a spiritual meditation on colour, texture, and the nature of chance, time and synchronicity, famously rejecting traditional still life with the declaration: "For me the pear is to be eaten and experienced, not painted." Following his death in 2012, the release of works by his estate sparked renewed global interest, and his paintings continue to grow in value, appearing in collections worldwide.
