The original painting was inspired by a visit by Lowry to a friends house one Sunday afternoon. It was painted in 1954 and exhibited at The Royal Academy in 1976 mere months after Lowry's death. The signed limited edition was published by Venture Prints Ltd. in 1974 and is Fine Art Trade Guild Blindstamped.
