Although it may be considered a modestly sized artwork by Lowry, this painting has managed to maintain its popularity and desirability over time. One could attribute this in part to its size and the artist's signature minimalistic style, for which he has gained immense recognition. Interestingly, the background of the painting is intentionally concealed, while a prominently large dog takes centre stage in the foreground.
