"Blue has no dimensions, it is beyond dimensions" - Yves Klein
Some of the greatest artists of all time have worked monochromatically with blue. Pablo Picasso had his blue period and Henri Matisse created his globally recognisable series 'The Blue Nudes'. Yves Klein mixed his very own deep hue of blue, known as International Klein Blue. However we haven't always had such a variety of blue. In nature, blue pigment was hard to come by and in art it was always a luxury. Still to this day it is seen as a prestigious colour, used in uniforms and associated with the British Royal Family.
