About the work
This limited-edition reduction linocut was inspired by a walk along the edge of a Devon rape field in full bloom, the golden hues and distant perspective perfectly evoking the heat and stillness of high summer.
From a very early age, all Ann Burnham wanted to do was draw and paint. After training at Harrow School of Art she worked as a graphic designer before becoming a full-time printmaker. She exhibits regularly and her work hangs in private collections across the UK and abroad, as well as on permanent display in several galleries in the south of England. She was also prize-winner in the V&A’s ‘inspired by’ competition.
