Lizzie Wheeler draws her creative inspiration from the natural world and its inhabitants, alongside an innate desire to capture the moments of awe experienced in untamed landscapes. Preferring to work in a stylised and figurative manner, she meticulously focuses on form and colour. Born into a lineage of artisans including potters, engineers, printmakers, painters, carpenters, garden designers, and seamstresses, Lizzie's upbringing immersed her in a world of creativity, and the joy and excitement of creating, instilled in her during childhood, remain constant. Lizzie is an active member of the Oxford Art Society, and also dedicates her time as a technician at the Oxford Printmakers Co-operative. This piece is a collagraph on Fabriano paper, 29 x 38cm, hand-printed in a limited edition of 30.
