Lizzie Wheeler draws her creative inspiration from the natural world and its inhabitants, alongside an innate desire to capture the moments of awe experienced in untamed landscapes. Preferring to work in a stylised and figurative manner, she meticulously focuses on form and colour, reveling in the process of crafting by hand and the profound connection it brings.
Embedded in a lineage of artisans including potters, engineers, printmakers, painters, carpenters, garden designers, and seamstresses, Lizzie's upbringing immersed her in a world of creativity. The joy and excitement of creating, instilled in her during childhood, remain steadfast.
Presently, Lizzie dedicates her time as a technician at the Oxford Printmakers Co-operative, all the while actively contributing as a member of the Oxford Art Society.
